The show Peter Pan, to me was a first. I had never seen the movie Peter Pan that I remember and for my first time, I enjoyed it. The show was very colorful and interesting. There were some things that went good and bad. In the beginning I liked how the narrator came out and told us what would happen. I then liked how John Jiang came on. Some things that I really liked throughout the whole play, where that the characters especially John Jiang really raised their voice and spoke up and beyond the audience. I think the cast did an amazing job with moving sets around, the lighting was amazing, but had a few mess ups, only when Sam the Narrator came on, she had to move her position all the way to the left of the stage. The stage crew did very well with setting and changing the sets and props for the next scenes in such small amounts of time. One thing I think the whole play did well at was including teachers in the play. In my opinion one thing i found disturbing was that when Peter Pan was playing the flute, it was of key with he actual flute. One last thing I would have liked to have seen was more sounds and light changes, aswell as the refreshments. I would say that there should be water and different drinks served and not had to pay for the snacks.

Dealt lionfish
My TED talk today is about the invasive aquatic species known as the Lionfish. Also known as Petrois Volitans, it is in the list for both the most invasive species and the top deadliest species in the ocean. This fish doesn't grow that big, the average size is about 1 foot in length, this fish can either red red or black, they have zebra like stripes running down their sides, aswell as many fan like spins along their body. It is currently located at #9 on the list of top deadliest fish in the world. It is also on the list for top most invasive species. This fish first originated in the Indi-Pacific Ocean, where they spread to almost, the whole Globe. They have captured the reefs of the Caribbean and are now eating away at our reefs. They got to the caribbean by one of two theories, they either were brought to the caribbean and americas by placing the eggs in the ballast tanks of ships and then releasing them in the ocean, or they were swept away from an aquarium that was destroyed by Hurricane Andrew in 1992. This fish although it is very pretty slowly killing the race with limited predators it will capture small juvenile fish into a corner and suck them up with its large vacuum like mouth. Most people do not know how deadly this fishes people of been known to be in agonizing pain after being stung by one of these fish. I know how painful it can be because I've seen many people who have been stuck by small ones and how much pain they are but they're bein know how painful it can be because I've seen many people who have been stuck by small ones and how much pain they were in. In order to care the sting you need to soak the infected area in hot water the hotter the better but don't burn yourself. The only predators to the species are either eels sharks or large groupers, however most of these predators will not go out and kill itself it would have to be dangling out in front of it like a piece of meat. We as a community need to study these fish more and find a way to get rid of their population because even though their numbers are decreasing they are still killing our however most of these predators will not go out and kill itself it would have to be dangling out in front of it like a piece of meat. We as a community need to study these fish more and find a way to get rid of their population because even though their numbers are decreasing they are still killing our reefs and killing the future of our oceans.

What do you want, BOOs or Claps?
In my opinion, a good TED Talk needs to have pictures. It needs to not be boring and make me fall asleep. It needs to not be long and unentertaining. A good ted talk needs to be short, meaningful and have lots of pictures, as well as making it interesting. In order for a TED Talk to be good in needs to be short. People listening will get bored and tired and start to loose track of what you are saying. They will loos their patience and start to get bored, and that is not what you want. A good TED talk needs to have pictures. It needs to have a lot of colorful pictures and have fun and entertaining things. People now a days have smaller attention spans and so we need to keep them interested in what we are trying to say. In order for a good TED talk the writer, needs to open with a bang and keep that bang going and end on a bang. Their goal is to encourage us to listen to what they have to say and in my opinion in order for them to do that, you need to make your presentation, fun, colorful, short and don't use big words. Some other key points are to move around the stage. You also need to not read from the podium. When you read from a piece of paper people see you as less interested and you are just reading it and you don't care about it. Another thing is to speak slowly and clearly, a lot of people get nervous and start to stutter or shake or speak fast and that causes them to mess up and people to loose interest. You want to speak slowly and clearly. Some other important things to make sure and double check when doing a TED talk is to have a backup plan or computer incase the first one dies. You would also want to have it in many locations, such as a flash drive, in your email, in your cloud and even burned to a CD if you have to. You always want to make sure you have a spare incase something goes wrong and double check your presentation, make sure it is all in order. Another thing is to practice your speech, practice your time, your breaths. Practice how you are going to say it and produce it, are you going to move around and use hand jesters. One last important thing is to make sure you have your microphone and make sure it is positioned just right for the audience can hear your voice. The last thing to having a good TED talk is to stay relax, do your best and have fun.

Ted talk
shark deterrent wet suit- I find this interesting because all around the world, surfers and people are being attacked by sharks. if this works, this man will be very rich and famous.
the surprising thing i learned sailing solo around the world- i find this interesting because although i love
sailing, i liked how he saw what was happening to oceans and reefs in different countries. he saw what was happening to this earth.
a novel idea to soak up the oil- this is interesting because, oil is killing everything. It is killing animals and reefs and it is killing peoples way of making an income, we need to stop oil pollution.
Survival
I did my speech on "How to Survive" and I shared some of my thoughts and ways on how to survive. My main points where the things, you should bring with you when going on an adventure, the steps you should follow through with when in a survival citation. I mentioned some skills every person should know. In my speech, the content is as good as I can make it, but others were really good. In my introduction i believe that it could have been more interesting, it also could have been introduced much better to the audience. Overall my introduction was written well and I believe I said it well. When I got into my body paragraph, which is where I really got into it, I feel like I could have done better. I feel as if the main points where clear enough. I feel as if the main points I did say could have been supported a little bit better. My body was a bit mixed up and could have been organized better. My topic was a little off for me, I feel as if I shouldn't have chosen it, because I feel like that was the one I had least experience with.I believe my main points could have been connected better and tied together to each other better. In my conclusion, I feel as if it was a little short. I think that it could have been more of a summary of my topic. One thing I feel like I did well was having a closing statement. I think my closing and opening statement was strong and useful. I think that if I was the listener, I would be motivated to learn how to survive. In my opinion the language was very well. I changed the tone of my voice a lot and I didn't sway a lot. In the delivery of my speech, I think I could have used a notecard, and studied it more as well as using it to reference more often.I didn't look at my note card and read off of it, there was a lot of eye contact with the others. I feel as if i spoke slowly and clearly and didn't mix up words. My hand motion was good, I didn't fidget with anything too much. I think the ending of my speech really got people thinking and got people to realise that if they were in danger, they would want to be the one to help out. In conclusion I believe I completed this task well. My topic was introduced and I did was was asked for. I think the audience was interested and they enjoyed hearing my speech. I think i did a good job in all and hope to better next time.
